Shimano XT M775 Disk Brakes with 180mm Rotors ... by Steven
I've changed from my Hope Pros which I found very high maintenance. I remembered back to my old 555s that I use to have for years without any issues, so decided to go back to shimano. So I bought these M775s hoping they would bring a bit of reliability. Fitting was pretty straight forward although I bought them built and bled so do not know how easy they are to bleed. Rotor Clearance hasn’t been a problem at all. However, adjusting the free stroke didn’t seem to make much difference. In general I’m quite happy with them. A case of fit and forget and cope well under regular hard braking. The Servo-wave does help the progressive feel of them, but I still don’t think they feel as good as my Hope Mono- Minis; Maybe I’m just not use to them yet.
Like : Reliability, Good Power and modulation. Easy to install.
Dislike : Bulky looking, Require a screwdriver to adjust free stroke.
    Price : £200.00 Rating : 4/5
